Piercing Honesty

January 13th, 2019

Piercing honesty,
And enough, true and more,
The ragged smile torn from half a smirk,
Where the snarky and subtle ends hang behind,
Like the troubled quietness,
Built in anger and aggravated gesturing,
Like the memories of banished nights,
Spent without regard,
Like the limitless passion
Bound in too small a frame,
Like the nagging resignment,
Obliterated in the light of day
And the showers of truth,
That flutter down,
Like petals
