About Me

All glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.

By the Grace of God, I write code and verse.

I have lived in Shasta County my entire life. My parents homeschooled me until I began to attend classes at Shasta College. I eventually attended Simpson University where I obtained a Bachelor's degree in English. I have worked professionally in web development since my senior year of college. I write code to support my family and my poetry and prosody habit.

I write poems and prose concerning those subjects which I seek to understand; therefore, many of my works have a slightly to highly unfinished quality about them. I use them to work out my relationship to the world that I encounter. "These works do not necessarily reflect the opinion of their author."

These subjects include:

Several years ago I made a decision based on several factors that can be summed up in Mark 4:22 "For there is nothing hidden, except to be disclosed; nor is anything secret, except to come to light," to make as much writing as possible publicly visible. Exceptions include when I believe my writing may cause others to stumble (1 Corinthians 8:9, Romans 14:13). (You may find it as interesting as I did that the word "stumbling block" in Greek is "skándalon," or scandal.) As a result and in addition to the aforementioned "unfinished quality," much of the work here has very rough edges which only a madman would read. I do think I have some real gems here. (Example: "Words Like Stones"). I sometimes embarrass myself on Twitter.

I hope you enjoy your time here and if you like anything in particular feel free to "drop me a line" at tyler@fust.us.
